Larkin Street Youth Services is a San Francisco social service organization helping youth ages 12 to 24 who are living on the streets through no fault of their own. Founded in 1984, Larkin Street is an internationally recognized leader in providing effective housing, medical, social, education and employment services to at-risk homeless and runaway youth.

  • Over 75,000 youth served over the past 30 years.
  • 2,500 homeless and runaway youth engaged in services last year.
  • Larkin Street’s housing programs kept youth off the streets for 80,000 bed-nights last year.
  • Last year, 63 Larkin Street Academy program youth found jobs at an average hourly wage of $13.95
  • Larkin Street helped 154 youth enroll in post-secondary education last year.
  • Over 80% of funds raised go directly to support programs and services.
  • For every dollar invested in homeless youth, society sees $8 in social benefits or saved costs.
