Larkin Street Youth Services is a San Francisco social service organization helping youth ages 12 to 24 who are living on the streets through no fault of their own. Founded in 1984, Larkin Street is an internationally recognized leader in providing effective housing, medical, social, education, and employment services to at-risk homeless and runaway youth.

Larkin Street Success at a Glance:

  • Over 78,000 youth served over the past 39 years.
  • Larkin Street served over 1,400 young people last year.
  • In 2022:
    • 9 out of 10 young people who exited Larkin Street’s programs moved on to safe and stable housing.
    • 145 Larkin Street program participants were placed in employment at an average hourly wage of $19.
    • Larkin Street provided 429 young people with long-term housing.
  • Over 80% of funds raised go directly to support programs and services.
  • For every dollar invested in homeless youth, society sees $8 in social benefits or saved costs.
