Larkin Street Youth Services is a San Francisco Bay Area social service organization helping young people, ages 12 to 24, experiencing or at-risk of experiencing homelessness. Founded in 1984, Larkin Street is an internationally recognized leader in providing a continuum of care and services including housing, healthcare, employment, and education.

Larkin Street’s Success at a Glance:

  • Over 80,000 youth served over the past 40 years.
  • 3 out of 4 young people who exited Larkin Street’s programs moved on to safe and stable housing.
  • In 2025:
    • Larkin Street served over 2,093 young people last year.
    • 64% of young people were employed or enrolled in post-secondary education at exit.
    • 55% of young people were employed (compared to 53% nationally according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics)
  • For every dollar invested in homeless youth, society sees $8 in social benefits or saved costs.
