The 2014 CFOs of the Year

The Ninth Annual Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards was held at the Westin St. Francis to recognize the finalists and announce the 2014 winners in six award categories. Over 500 business leaders and executives were on hand to celebrate the CFO finalists and winners and honor the Lifetime Achievement Award winner Bob Swan, Senior Vice President, Finance and CFO of eBay Inc. In addition, eight CFO of the Year honorees from previous years joined in celebrating their fellow CFOs.

The 2014 event raised over $467,000 for Larkin Street Youth Services and has raised over $3.2 million in total over the past nine years to support Larkin Street’s programs. For the past 30 years Larkin Street has effectively helped homeless youth get off the streets. Today, Larkin Street continues to be innovative in approach and impactful in result, helping over 4,000 homeless and at-risk youth in San Francisco move off the streets through comprehensive housing, education, employment, and support programs. The funds raised help Larkin Street’s expanding mission to deepen education and employment-readiness for youth based on the increasing need for post-secondary education and job readiness skills.

Bob Swan, Lifetime Achievement Awardee, said “I was honored, humbled, and surprised to learn I was to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. However when I came here tonight and saw the Hall of Fame of past CFO honorees, and heard the stories of other honorees here tonight, I was more humbled than ever before. When I reflect on how I came to be here tonight, it boils down to being blessed with unique opportunities and those around me in my career. At eBay I have a set of peers that make me better, that make the world better.”
