We are proud to announce Scott Herren, Retired Chief Financial Officer of Cisco Systems, as the Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards 2026 Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award winner.
The 2026 Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards will be held at 6 PM on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero Center in San Francisco and will feature Scott accepting his award along with winners in five additional categories.
Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, this special event, presented by the San Francisco Business Times in partnership with Larkin Street Youth Services, has raised more than $8 million to support young people experiencing homelessness. Proceeds benefit Larkin Street’s award-winning model of housing, education, employment, and health services, helping youth move beyond the street and build stable futures.
The Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes a current or former CFO of a public or private company whose contributions have had a significant and lasting impact on the Bay Area business community over the course of their career.

Scott Herren was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cisco Systems, where he led the company’s global finance organization, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, treasury, investor relations, and business operations.
Prior to joining Cisco, Scott served as Chief Financial Officer at Autodesk, where he helped guide the company’s financial strategy and transformation. Earlier in his career, he held senior finance leadership roles at Citrix Systems and spent more than two decades at IBM, serving in multiple global finance and operational leadership positions.
Scott is widely recognized for his strategic leadership and commitment to innovation, helping shape the financial and operational success of some of the world’s leading technology companies.
