At this year’s Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards ceremony on Thursday, September 28 at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco, over 400 business leaders attended to celebrate the Finalists and Winners, raising nearly $500,000 to support Larkin Street.

Anton Eremin, a Larkin Street program participant, was given the opportunity to share his impactful journey with Larkin Street. His compelling narrative, outlining the life-altering shelter, education, and leadership opportunities he received, struck a chord with the over 400 attendees, bringing to light the indispensable work of Larkin Street in transforming young lives.

Eremin passionately remarked, “Experiencing homelessness and seeing the anguish it causes made me determined to aid those in similar circumstances. Larkin Street offered me a golden chance to make a difference. I’m now an active part of Larkin Street’s Youth Fellowship Program, contributing to projects that uplift our community.”

In line with the spirit of supporting San Francisco’s community, Hall of Fame – Lifetime Achievement Winner Harmit Singh of Levi Strauss & Co. emphasized Levi’s dedication to the city. Singh noted, As our city emerges from a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic and grapples with new challenges, we at Levi Strauss & Co. are more committed than ever to be a positive force for San Francisco. Larkin Street is a centerpiece of our city and does noble work in empowering homeless and at-risk youth to get off the street. We at LS&Co. understand the tremendous value Larkin Street brings to our community and are proud to have been partnering together for nearly 35 years through volunteering and philanthropic efforts. We believe in this city as strongly as we did when we started more than 170 years ago, and we will continue working with our partners like Larkin to support this city that we love.”
