As Chief Financial Officer, Chris Newman is responsible for leading all elements of Rodan + Fields’ Finance Operations. Chris brings more than 25 years of finance and operations experience at leading global consumer brands, including Serena & Lily, Restoration Hardware, Limited Brands (operator of Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works and others) and PepsiCo. Most recently, Chris was Chief Operating Officer at Serena & Lily, where he was responsible for all Financial and Operational Systems. Chris has led high-performing Finance and Operations Teams in complex business environments with an unrelenting focus on serving customers. He started his career at J.P. Morgan and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Brown University.

Chris is an operating partner at Rodan + Fields, a leading dermatology-inspired skincare brand powered by a direct selling business model and Independent Consultant Community, and plays a significant role with strategic plans, technology, the supply chain, litigation, and operating plans. Beginning in 2021, he began leading Rodan + Fields’ Office of Business Transformation to advance corporate strategic initiatives. Over the past few years, Chris and his team have done substantial work selling a minority stake in the business to a private equity partner, recapitalizing the business, and driving substantial improvements in cash generation and liquidity. Key stakeholders include not only the founders but the minority investors and independent members of the Board of Directors as well.

He is also on the Board of The Institute for Educational Advancement, a non-profit for intellectually gifted children, and served as Board Chair for several years.

Chris has been married for 30 years, has 3 grown boys and a needy dog. His family has always been the focus of his life.
