Dan is applying his years of technology and finance knowledge and experience to oversee Adobe’s company-wide operations with rigor and ongoing excellence, drive enablement at scale, and power innovation across the organization. He brings extensive expertise in global strategy, financial planning, operations, mergers, and acquisitions in the technology and financial services industries. Before Adobe, he served as Senior Vice President and C.F.O. at Applied Materials Inc., Executive Vice President and C.F.O. at N.X.P. He also held leadership positions in private equity and investment banking, where he advised technology companies on corporate strategy and acquisitions.

Dan believes that creating change is everyone’s responsibility to their communities. Everyone has a voice, platform, and resources to help others in need and make a difference. Getting involved in philanthropic efforts is critical to Dan and his family. His commitment to helping others comes from a deep sense of empathy he learned early in life. He and his family are committed to several important charitable causes. One is Second Harvest. During his time at a previous company, he was fortunate to have been introduced to this organization that does so much to fight food insecurity. Like many of us, Dan and his family sought a way to help those struggling when the pandemic struck. What was meaningful was that not only did they know that their financial contributions to this organization were making a true difference in the lives around us, but they were also able to volunteer their time. For them to make an impact personally and together has meant so much to Dan and his family and continues to do so today.  Other organizations Dan and his family are passionate about supporting include the American Heart Association and conservation efforts to protect wildlife across the African continent. There are so many incredible organizations to support. Finding one or a few important to you and building a relationship with them and their work over time is incredibly inspiring.

Dan received his M.B.A. in Finance from the Columbia Business School and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a B.S. in Control Systems Engineering. He served in the Navy for six years, reaching the rank of lieutenant.
