Jennifer Wilds – Habitat for Humanity Greater SF

Jennifer Wilds

Non-Profit Organization

In 2016, Wilds joined Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco as its Chief Financial Officer. HGSF’s mission is to create and preserve affordable homeownership opportunities in Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo counties by building new homes and repairing existing owner-occupied structures. HGSF is a general contractor and uses both in-house professional and volunteer labor to serve homeowners from the very low to moderate income range. With more than 25 years of finance and operations experience, Wilds is responsible for financial management and strategy at Habitat Greater San Francisco. Her group covers accounting, audit, tax, treasury management, financial reporting, business operations, health and safety, risk management, information systems, and human resources, and recruiting and training for the organization. She has helped the business diversify its funding streams and is helping it significantly accelerate its rate of new home production throughout its service area.

Helping families build and purchase homes in the Bay Area is a rewarding and increasingly challenging mission, and Wilds believes that the adaptability and sheer determination and flexibility of the Habitat community has driven the organization’s success. Wilds is particularly grateful that HGSF has been able to continue its essential work throughout the global pandemic, and is proud that the team recently completed two affordable housing developments – in Daly City and Redwood City. Wilds believes that context and connection are key drivers of employee satisfaction and works to make sure that team members feel included and understand how their work contributes to the mission.

Prior to joining HGSF, Wilds served as VP of Finance at Hotel Tonight (acquired in 2019 by Airbnb Nasdaq: ABNB), leading the finance, accounting, and IT functions. Previously, she spent thirteen years in various finance and business development roles at CNET Networks (acquired in 2008 by the CBS Corporation, now Paramount Global – Nasdaq: PARA), most recently serving as the Senior Vice President of Finance for CBS Interactive. In that role, Wilds led a team responsible for accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and pricing for more than 35 online brands operating in 10 countries. She developed her business development and partnership management skills at CNET Networks, and managed forecasting and reporting for the consumer and gaming brands.

She began her career as an analyst for Capital One Financial Corporation (NYSE: COF) in its Marketing & Analysis and Operations groups. Wilds has an S.B. in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from Harvard College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She lives in Alameda, California with her husband and two daughters.
