Growing up, Lindsey had dreams of being a radio show host — or better yet — a professional tennis player. However, fate took a turn at age 16 when she picked up her first after school job at family friends’ accounting firm. She quickly fell in love with solving problems and telling stories through numbers. She’s never looked back. Lindsey is now CFO at Off the Grid, where she is fortunate enough to work with incredible people who share her love of food, unique experiences, and the SF Bay Area. Over the past three years, she has built out the company’s finance, accounting, and employee experience functions to help support rapid growth and a dynamic business model. Lindsey leads with a focus on scalable systems and coaching her team to think critically, ask questions, and solve problems from a creative place. During her tenure, she has helped drive several system improvements, including implementing a new ERP, developing a formal reporting system, and building features within Off the Grid’s internal software platform in order to increase automation and data analysis capabilities. Lindsey also took on oversight of Off the Grid’s Employee Experience function 2 years ago, and has spent much of her time since working with leadership on ways to promote company culture and values, increase employee retention, and develop top talent within the organization. Since Lindsey joined in 2015, Off the Grid has grown revenue 5x and increased headcount to over 300 employees in the Bay Area.
Prior to her role at Off the Grid, Lindsey served as VP of Finance at ZOZI (acquired in 2016), and worked within the Private Company Services group at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She holds a B.S. from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and received her C.P.A. in the State of California. She still has high hopes for her tennis career.
